Martin E. Wolf

Martin E. Wolf is a founding partner of Gordon, Wolf & Carney, CHTD, and a distinguished trial lawyer known for his relentless advocacy on behalf of consumers and individuals against powerful institutions. With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Wolf has built a career focused on complex litigation, class actions, mass torts, and securing essential benefits for clients in Social Security Disability cases.

Mr. Wolf’s practice is defined by his commitment to achieving justice and meaningful results in high-stakes legal battles against both big business and big government. His expertise in Class Actions and Mass Torts has led to the recovery of millions of dollars on behalf of thousands of plaintiffs. He has consistently delivered multi-million-dollar verdicts and negotiated significant settlements throughout his career.

One of his most notable successes was a landmark inverse condemnation case against the United States Navy, which settled in 2006 for more than $34 million. In this case, Mr. Wolf successfully represented the owners of over 2,000 residential properties near Naval Air Station Oceana, proving the government had taken an “avigation easement” over their homes without proper compensation.

He earned his J.D. with Honors from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 1991, where he also received the Myerowitz Moot Court Award. He completed his undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University in 1980.
